Composition
Contains per g:
Amprolium hydrochloride200 mg
Sulfaquinoxaline (as sodium)150 mg
Vitamin A, retinol acetate15000 IU
Vitamin K3, (as menadione sodium bisulfite)5 mg
Description
Amprolium is an anticoccicidial with activity against Eimeria spp., especially Eimeria tenella and Eimeria necatrix.
Sulfaquinoxaline is a chemotherapeutic with a bacteriostatic activity against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It has also coccidiostatic activity against Eimeria spp.
Vitamin A is involved in the process of formation and preservation of function of epithelial tissues and mucous membranes, is important for fertility and is essential for vision.
Vitamin K3 plays an important role in blood coagulation.

Indications
Coccidiosis in calves, sheep, goats and poultry.


Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to amprolium and/or sulfaquinoxaline.
Administration to animals with impaired renal and/or hepatic functions.

 

Side Effects
At high dosages in laying hens egg-drop and in broilers growth inhibition and polyneuritis can occur.

Other side effects may include crystalluria, anaemia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia.

Dosage
For oral administration.

Calves, sheep and goats:
Preventive:
1 g per 50 - 100 kg body weight through drinking water or milk for 21 days.
Curative:
5 g per 25 - 50 kg body weight through drinking water or milk for 5 days.

Poultry:
20 g per 20 - 40 litres of drinking water for 5 - 7 days.

Note:

for pre-ruminant calves, lambs and kids only.


Withdrawal Times
- For meat:
Calves, sheep and goats:

14 days.
Poultry:

14 days.

Not for use in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
