Composition:

Each bolus contains:

2500mg Albendazole

Spectrum:

Albendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic active against most nematodes and some cestodes.

Activity in cattle, goats and sheep against the following genera:

Gastro intestinal nematodes:

Larval and adult stages of Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Cooperia Bunostomum, adult stages of Oesophagostomum, Chabertia and Strongyloides.

Lung worms:

Dictyocaulus spp.

Tape worms:

Monezia expansa.

Trematodes:

Fasciola hepatica (adult liver fluke).

Indications:

Infections with helminths susceptible to albendazole in sheep, goats and cattle.

Contra-indications:

Administration to ewes and cattle during early pregnancy (the first 45 days).

Use in lactating animals whose milk is to be used for human consumption.

Side-effects:

No side-effects are reported when used at therapeutic doses.

Dosage and administration:

For oral administration: 1 bolus per 250 kgbodyweight.

The general dose is 7.5 mg albendazole per kg body weight.

For control of adult liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica) a dosage of 10-15 mg/kg body weight is required.

Withdrawal time:

Meat: 12 days.

Storage:

Store closed in a cool and dry place.

Shelf life:

4 years.
