Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
Sulphadimidine Sodium 200 mg
Trimethoprim 40 mg
Properties:
Combination of trimethoprim and sulphonamides leads to widening in the range of activity and increasing in the therapeutic index.
The action of the combination proved to be bactericidal, whereas the components separately act as bacteriostatic
Indications:
Treatment of primary infections caused by sensitive organisms and secondary infections associated with virus diseases including pneumonia, septicaemia, enteritis .
Dosage and administration:
For all species by intramuscular injection.
Daily dose is 1 ml/10-15 kg b.w
Cattle, Horse:
45-60 ml/450-600 kg b.w
Calf, Foal:
5-15 ml/50-150 kg b.w
Sheep, Goat:
3-4 ml/30-40 kg b.w
Withdrawal period:
Meat :
28 days.
Milk :
3 days
